A Spring Like Day

With the birds chirping, wind blowing, and with the temperature, today and yesterday felt like a spring day.

It has been beautiful.

Yesterday started out over cast, but then cleared up in the afternoon.

I went outside yesterday before the sun set and took a lot of pictures.

Here are a few of my favorites.
I don't know if you can tell, but I love to take pictures using the sun. :)

Another Blizzard!!!!

It started to snow early Tuesday morning.

It snowed all day long!

I have made snow ice cream a few times.

Here is a picture of the first batch.

It is super easy to make. I will post the recipe at the end of this post.

The sun was beautiful that night.
Some of the drifts are really deep. One of them was as tall of me! I don't have a picture of that drift yet, but I will try to get one.

We put our wood on the porch to try to keep it dry, but it still got snow on it.

The wind was really strong.

Maggie is really liking the snow. She loves to jump through it.

Here is the recipe for snow ice cream.

~6 quarts fresh clean snow ( don't pack into measuring cups. Snow should be fluffy)

~1 1/2 to 2 cups sugar

~1 quart whipping cream

~1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix all ingredients (except for snow) in a small bowl. Pour over snow and mix.

Luke's Birthday

My Dad and my brothers made a carpet ball table for Luke's birthday gift.
