Another Blizzard!!!!

It started to snow early Tuesday morning.
It snowed all day long!
I have made snow ice cream a few times.
Here is a picture of the first batch.
It is super easy to make. I will post the recipe at the end of this post.
The sun was beautiful that night.
Some of the drifts are really deep. One of them was as tall of me! I don't have a picture of that drift yet, but I will try to get one.

We put our wood on the porch to try to keep it dry, but it still got snow on it.

The wind was really strong.
Maggie is really liking the snow. She loves to jump through it.
I will post picture of everyone sledding soon.:)
Here is the recipe for snow ice cream.
~6 quarts fresh clean snow ( don't pack into measuring cups. Snow should be fluffy)
~1 1/2 to 2 cups sugar
~1 quart whipping cream
~1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix all ingredients (except for snow) in a small bowl. Pour over snow and mix.
Enjoy!!!
I will post more pictures soon.

Here are a couple of pictures of his cake.
Didn't my Mom do a great job!!!

It turned out really cute.

I will post pictures of the carpet ball later.

... my little brother, Luke, was born. I am very thankful for him and for who the Lord has made him.

He is courageous, strong, brave, kind, loving, manly, respectful, and most of all, he loves the Lord.

Luke is one of a kind.

And I love him!
:)

Luke, I hope that you have a very Happy Birthday!!!
:)

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.

It is...

...Snowing!!!!
I have been hoping that it would snow so that I could take a picture of a snowflake
close-up. Finally, this afternoon, it started. I saw a snowflake on my coat, quickly snapped pictures, and ended up with this.

My Scrap Happy Dolls

Recently I found a pattern for these rag dolls.
They are super simple and fun to make. They take very little time to complete.
I have really enjoyed making them.

The one above is my favorite. :)

The best thing about them is that I use scraps to make them(thus the name" Scrap Happy Dolls").

'10 in 10

My mom challenged me to describe 2010 in 10 words. So I have thought about and I think that 2010 has been:
Blessed,
Humbling,
Provisions/Providence,
Family,
Exciting,
Travels,
Goodbyes,
Photography,
Fellowship(with friends new and old),
Healthy(except for strep throat and mono)
and Aprons.
I challenge you to try this as well.
It is a lot of fun and I think that you will enjoy it.
Happy New Year from my family to yours.
:)
