The Pryde Family

We had the opportunity this past weekend to host the Prydes for a visit to our church. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with them. I am so thankful for how the Lord placed them in our lives.

The First Snow of the Season!

Tulsa had it's first snow of the season last night!
Even though we only got 1-2 inches, we had a lot of fun taking pictures and playing in the snow.

These two are pictures that I took last night while it was still snowing.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake

Cream Cheese Pound Cake

• 8 oz. Cream Cheese
• 3 sticks soft butter
• 2 Tablespoons vanilla
• 3 Cups sugar
• 6 eggs
• 2 1/2 Cups flour

Mix softened cream cheese with butter, add sugar and eggs, one at a time, beat well after each egg. Add vanilla and flour. Grease bunt pan heavy with Crisco. Coat with sugar. Spray with Pam. This makes a sugar coat. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Enjoy!

I have been wanting to post more often on my blog, so I have challenged myself to take at least one picture each day and post it along with a verse of scripture. So, even though it is already the 9th of January, I am starting today.

Our Family Camping Trip

These are some pictures from our family camping trip to Petit Jean, Arkansas. We really enjoyed all of the hiking, biking, fishing, and just enjoying each other.

It was beautiful!

All of the trees were really pretty.

Scarves

I love to wear scarves, and it is finally getting cool enough to wear them. This is a really neat video with 25 different ways to tie your scarf.
Also, my friend, Alison, gave some links for scarf tutorials on her blog. She also posted a diagram for 6 different ways to tie your scarf. So, go look!
This is one of the link on Alison's blog, and it is my favorite! This is a Anthropologie inspired scarf. I am hoping to make one for myself soon.
