More Ice and Snow!

It started sleeting and snowing this past week!
Everything remains coated with ice and appears to be glistening.
Each tree and plant is coated differently. On some trees, the ice wrapped around the whole branch and on others, it coated just one side of the branch.
I thought these were a couple of neat pictures!!

It is amazing to see God's marvelous hand in all weather.
Not to mention that we get to enjoy His creation!!

Happy Birthday Luke!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy, Happy birthday to Luke!
Today is my youngest brothers birthday and he is turning 7. He has been waiting for this day for weeks. :)
He is growing older everyday and I can tell. He is always eager to help and learn. He is always quick to mention the Lords name and I am thankful for that.
I love him so, so, much. I'm so thankful for him.
I will post more about his day later.

A Frozen River

This is the Verdigris River, a river we pass over on our way to church. This river is always running and it is big enough that barges travel up and down it. But as you can see from these pictures, it is frozen. Even though the ice looks broken up, it isn't. While I was getting pictures, the boys were throwing rocks on the ice and it wouldn't break no matter how big the rocks were. For the first time in 3 weeks, temperatures finally got out of the 30s. I think that it got around 50 today and things started melting. Although it has been extremely cold, we have enjoyed it.
From what I understand, this cold spell set records in Oklahoma as well as in other parts of the world.

I don't know about you, but I know that God is in control of all things... including our seasons, weather, and climate.

Seedlings

We finally did Seedlings. We didn't do as much as last time but we did have fun and hopefully learned something. :)
This weeks verse is,
God is our refuge and strength,
a very help in trouble.
Psalms 46:1
We now have long distance members! These new members are my cousins. Since they aren't here in person to attend our meetings, they will practice memorizing each week's verse. My Aunt/their mom will then inform me of their progress and we will mark it on a special board here. The craft this week was to decorate the long distance memory board. So next week I will have pictures of the decorated board and it will hopefully have a sticker on the verse that they have memorized. Feel free to learn and memorize along with us. :)
